sydnee and i were at chandler mall, shopping and going to a movie. you know, best friend stuff. we were walking outside, between the movie theatre and the mall. now let me just say: i am not racist, i just really dislike when people of certain races (caucasians included) behave in the manner of the stereotype that their race is associated with. having said that, i will continue. so, my pretty, skinny, blonde bestfriend and i were walking and minding our own business when some mexican guys in wife beaters and gold chains started hooting and whistling and saying "hey, blondie!" and harassing my favorite person. so i turned around and gave them the finger. it's all i could think of to do, but i defended her honor!
a little bit later that night, sydnee and i were at barnes and noble. after waiting a few minutes for a cashier to assist, a guy came over to the check out area where we experienced a really, really awkward moment. it goes as follows...
guy: "do you have a barnes and noble member card?"
sydnee: "no" (expecting to be asked if she wants one to save 10%)
guy: "ohh...that's too bad.."
us: .....
guy: "do you need a bag?"
sydnee: (with two f21 bags and a macy's bag) "no thanks, i think i have enough."
guy: "that's what i thought."
us: .......?
guy: (finishing transaction and handing sydnee the receipt) "okay, good luck."
sydnee: "uhh, you too."
guy: "thanks."
us: (walking out of the store) ...!?
me: "uh, was that really awkward for you? because it felt really awkward to me...."
sydnee: "i feel like i was just raped of my social skills."
then we laughed. the end.
