no mystery left

oh my excited for washington dc. that is all.

except it's not really all. last night i slept over at traci's and we found out where d nasty lives so we went to wal mart and bought a bunch of stuff and ambushed her house with it. the old lady at walmart spelled "greenery" like this: "greanry." i wanted to tell her to buy a four dollar dictionary. but that would've been rude.
today i worked forever and they found a snake and showed it to me and that wasn't cool. then i hung out with little brooke for a while. we went to sally's and i got a new straightener (which works great, by the way). then we went to taco bell and then bahama bucks. then we played mario party on wii. it was fun! brooke is one of the cutest girls ever. and she's hilarious. i took a shower today, ehhh. i hate showering. i wish i never had to.
i had a weird dream the other night, it worried me.
i love spencer. he's my favorite.
i miss chantry. i wonder when he's leaving utah and going to argentina. i wish he would write me a letter. also, todd searle and camaron should write me letters too. why haven't they!? i should write them again and remind them about me. ha ha.
the perfume i'm wearing reminds me of when we went to new york, though that doesn't make sense because i got this perfume for christmas and we went to nyc in the beginning of december.
traci: i know you are reading this. make a freaking blog so i can read it.

bloods on fire

this morning i was pleased to wake up to a sudoku puzzle and an einstein's bagel. i also watched seinfeld while eating my bagel and doing my puzzle. i think this is going to be a good summer.
today for memorial day, we all went over to grandma dee dee and papa's house. we had ribs for lunch. and then we made smores. talk about delicious food. then after we ate, trent and i were taking a nap on the couch and he tapped me on the shoulder and said, "emma. move me somewhere quiet." he's the best three year old in the world.
tonight i just hung out with spencer at his house. we watched some jon stewart, family guy, and dave chappelle. yiikes. but it was really funny.

i want another smore.

baby, wipe your eyes and see the view you're missin'.
i want you to see what i see from this perspective -
everything amazing and wondrous.
it's all inside of you.
all i see is compassion and kindness.
you're so gifted.
look in the mirror, sweet.
realize what you've got!
the world is yours.
seize it--have your way.
do anything you want, i know you can.
just please don't forget me

to escape, you must've been brave.

this has been quite the eventful past few days. i'm not quite sure how i can sum it all up effectively so i'll just say what i can.
thursday i graduated, surprise! ha. it was crazy and in the rain and not as great as i'd have liked it to be. i wasn't really excited about the whole ceremony in the first place, but then it was decided that it would be outside in the pouring rain--not the greatest plan in my opinion. people were throwing beach balls and live rats and i was just not excited to be sitting there forever. also, there were five salutatorians and that took a freaking long time. a lot of my family came, which i really appreciated since the weather conditions were so hellish.
after my name was called i left and went to spencer's mom's house. we pretty much just hung out there, which was the way i would have preferred to spend my graduation night: not partying and getting drunk off my arse like many of my classmates. besides, i just don't like parties and highly social situations.
friday was sort of a blur for the most part. it rained more. in the late afternoon i headed out to gilbert to hang out with spencer some more. we hung out with brooke and his nana and his mom. then we went and packed for prescott. then we drove up there. we visited dad and brian at the motor lodge.
saturday we went to breakfast and i had some delicious french toast with a side of regular toast. then spencer and i walked around town for a while, and we got a bunch of candy, because candy is delicious. we watched like three episodes of america's next top model. he's such a trooper. later cedar and ron came up and we talked to them for a while. then spencer and i went on an adventure to get a dvd player so we could watch eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, which we eventually accomplished after lots of struggle with purchasing additional cords to accommodate the old television that was in our room. later titanic was on, so we stayed in to watch it. i feel like an old woman because i hate going out. we went to bed pretty early.
this morning we slept in then we headed back into town. i went to allison and karie's graduation fiesta, which was fun. then i came home and didn't do anything. i went to target to get poster frames, but they ended up being too big. i also bought light bulbs for the light fixtures in my bedroom, but the ones that i bought for my ceiling fan also ended up being too big. curses. since i've been home i've just been downloading music. i downloaded band of horses, aloha, arcade fire, and right now i'm downloading great northern.  next on my list is justice.
i am not especially happy with things right now. there are a couple of situations that are getting me down. and i really wish that things hadn't unfolded the way that they did. i just want things to be okay, and the way they were. not even the way they were, but just enough so that people could still be happy with one another and also have some change to make things better and more realistic for the way that things are.
and sometimes i still feel that despite the way things are, i still am not enough to mend what has been broken. no matter how much i try, i don't think i'll ever be enough.

passing through unconscious states

i am unbelievably excited for the upcoming washington d.c. trip!
i'll be traveling to our nation's capital with spencer and his mom. this is in celebration of spencer's twenty-first birthday, which is the fourth of june. we will be gone from may 31 until june 7.
i actually can't believe that mom is letting me go, although i am extremely happy about it. i feel like this might be an acknowledgement of her trust? which i feel i deserve, since i am 18 and tomorrow i will be a high school graduate.
and as of tonight i am a seminary graduate. the meeting was inspirational, yet i did feel slightly uncomfortable on account of not knowing anyone. but i guess that's what i signed up for when i decided to go to gilbert in lieu of lame mcclintock.
now i ought to use more eye drops and retire for the evening. tomorrow is going to be a big day!

my blogspot v-card...?

well, i am caving. it appears that blogspot is officially the new livejournal, and i have been converted. jenny hansen has coerced me into creating one of these bad boys. so i did it just for her. so yesterday was my "official" last day of high school. today has been a nothing day, and tomorrow is actual graduation. i'm very excited to finally be done. i don't think i'm going to miss much about high school, except the not having to try, ha. today my right eye is hurting quite badly. it's burning and i can't see very well. i used eye drops but they didn't help out much. i want a sandwich. tonight i have seminary graduation. it's going to be weird because i'm graduating with my stake and not with anyone that i actually went to seminary with. but ohh well.
